Valve designed the app to work with both, and it's already been released on Android, but it seems Apple has other ideas. It does what the Steam Link was designed to do let PC players stream their games over LAN to their phones, or the TV through Apple TV. I guess as it is 4 times the resolution perhaps it takes close to 4 times wifi data also. The Steam Link app is a software version of the device of the same name. On top of that my 100 mbit network speed means it is not always playable depending on what else is happening on the network. So this whole process works but it is a bit annoying having to enable the DSR resolution each time before playing on my monitor downstairs. Just pair an MFI or Steam controller to your Mac, connect to a computer. The catch is that it only works with Samsung’s 20 portfolio of smart TVs, and is still considered as a beta application, so expect a few glitches for now. Turn on the overlay data so you can see what it captures etc when in Steam I see 19201080 but when I launch RD2 I now see 4K being captured. PC gamers with a Samsung smart TV wanting to stream their Steam library across the local network without a Steam Link set-top box can now do so with the new Steam Link App. You need to set the resolution to be 4k in the steam link app settings. Turn on the overlay data so you can see what it captures etc when in Steam I see 1920*1080 but when I launch RD2 I now see 4K being captured. The Steam Link app allows you to play your Steam games across all your computers. Then on your steam link app which cant be the original hardware but perhaps an Apple 4K box or a Samsun 4K TV app. Then on your steam link app which cant be the original hardware but perhaps an Apple 4K box or a Samsun 4K TV app. Then on my PC 1080p monitor everything is mega small and blurry and looks like crap but you can then load your game (RD2 in my case and choose 4k at which point it moans about reducing graphic settings) once the game loads choose 4k resolution in-game. On my Nvidia card settings under 3D settings I enabled DSR * 4, then in the resolution settings area you see 2 new options and you can effectively choose 4K.
